Queenstown, Fiordland, Stewart Island

Po týdenní odmlce lehký update. V okolí Queenstownu jsme se zdrželi jen 2 dny, měli štestí s vodou na Nevis a Shotover a přejeli dolů do Fiordlandu.

Po povinné zastávce v Milford Sound dáváme Falls Creek a Marian Creek run na řece Holyford, zatímco nepádlující část výpravy si prošla trek k Marian Lake. Noc trávíme v Gunn Campu a ráno se Olda, Verča a Jirka vydávají pěšky po treku do Queenstownu, Zajíc s Evinou jim jedou naproti autem a my se vydáváme na jih do Bluffu, kde chytneme trajekt na Stewart Island. Tam při 2 denním pobytu máme dostatek štestí, abychom na vlastní oči spatřili Kiwiho a další ptačí druhy.

After one week silence, here’s a small update. We only spent 2 days in Queentown area, got lucky with levels on Nevis and Shotover rivers and then drove down to Fiordland.

We make a compuslory stop in Milford Sound, run Falls Creek and Marian Crreek runs on the Holyford river while non-paddling part of our group take a trek to the Marian Lake. After a night spent at Gunn Camp, Olda, Verča and Jirka head back to Queenstown on foot, Honza & Evka drive back there to pick them up later and we head down south to Bluff to catch a ferry to Stewart Island. There, during our short 2 day stay, we’re lucky enough to spot a Kiwi with our own eyes as well as other bird species.
